^ 1. What is Augmented Reality?
Augmented Reality is an environment where a real life element is enhanced by superimposing virtual elements (such as gaming, animation, graphics, audio, etc) on top of it in real time, exceeding the bounds of physical reality.
^ 2. What is an Image Target?
The Image Target is a printed image needed to actuate/activate the Augmented Reality App games and activities.
Once you have the printed image, whether you print it or if the Image Target is found in a pre-printed book, paper, etc., all you need to do is download the corresponding App and install the App on your device. Once installed on your device, select the App, the App will engage your device’s camera, then point at the Image Target to start the game play or interactivity.

To restart a game, please press the “Reset” button found on the upper right hand corner of each activity. The game will reset to the beginning of the activity with new fun items to play with!
^ 6. Where can I find “how-to” help for using the Rocks In My Socks Application?
Each game has a “Help” screen that provides instructions on game play. The button will always be found in the upper right hand corner during game play.
Please tap the “Help” button to review the instruction screen for game play instructions.
^ 7. The sound has disappeared from the Rocks In My Socks Application, how do I get it back?
You can check if your device is in "silent mode". Try turning the sound on, off and then on again on your device or try restarting (switching on/off) the device: the sound should work again.

Easy! Grab a box of crayons, markers, or pencils and have fun!
^ 9. How to use the Rocks In My Socks Application?
The Rocks In My Socks Application accompanies the FREE Rock launcher game (found here to download and print) and the Rocks In My Socks Augmented Reality Book. The book is available for purchase here. On specific pages, there are activities with this icon. This means they are Augmented Reality ready and the kids can continue the game play on their compatible iOS Device or Android Device.
Don’t forget – the book’s cover launches Story Time With Gracie, where Gracie reads the story to you in full 3D animation.

^ 12. How do I position my devices for optimal game play?
It is best to lay the book flat on a table and hold your mobile device at least 12-18 inches from the Augmented Reality (AR) enabled activity page. You are able to move 180 degrees around the AR, move close up, and over the top.

^ 13. The Rocks In My Socks Application didn’t finish downloading. What do I do?
Make sure that your network connection is active. Apple’s iTunes App store and the Google Play store should detect that your download was interrupted and should continue it whenever your connection is restored.
^ 14. The Rocks In My Socks Application crashes when I start it up.
Please try to restart the device and sync it with your store account. If that does not work please try deleting the App from your device and quickly redownload the App.
^ 15. What’s the difference between the tablet and phone versions?
There is no difference between the versions except the screen size and elements on the screen are optimized for each device.
^ 16. What happens if we play the activity with crayons and then try to actuated the Augmented Reality (AR) on our compatible device?
The Augmented Reality activity pages should still work when holding your device over the page. Please notify us via the online support form if you are experiencing issues.
